Adult Tennis Program

The purpose of the Salt Lake Swimming & Tennis Club’s Adult Tennis Program is to generate enthusiasm for and actively engage adults — and, in turn, their families, friends, and peers — in playing tennis for a lifetime of fun, fitness, and friendly competition.

Stroke of the Month Clinic Series

  • When:   First Friday of every month, resuming September 10, 2010 at 10:30 - 11:30 am
  • Where: Court 1
  • Who:     Everyone is welcome
  • Cost:     Free

The Salt Lake Swimming & Tennis Club offers a free Stroke of the Month Clinic Series to help improve your stroke production and technique.  Come join Director of Tennis, Mike Trabert and Head Tennis Professional, Byron Boyd for these fun and valuable clinics.

Following the May 7, 2010 clinic, the Stroke of the Month Clinic Series resumes in the fall on September 10, 2010, with clinics on October 1st, November 5th, and December 3rd. Clinic series topics include forehands, backhands, serves, volleys, overheads, and spins (topspin/slice).

League Tennis

The Salt Lake Swimming & Tennis Club is a member of the USPTA (United States Professional Tennis Association) and the UTA (Utah Tennis Association). The Club’s League teams compete in sanctioned Adult League at all NTRP (National Tennis Rating Program) levels and all members are welcome to participate.

Joining a league can be a great way to experience the fun of playing competitive tennis and making new friends. League tennis provides plenty of opportunities to improve your game and develop camaraderie with your opponents. Players compete against opponents of similar skill level. Cardio Tennis

Are you looking for a fun, energetic, aerobic workout? Join the Cardio Tennis workouts on Saturday mornings from 7:30 am - 8:30 am for a fast-paced aerobic tennis workout with mix of footwork and cardio exercises, all done to energetic music.

Adult Tennis Workouts

During League seasons, men’s and women’s workouts are taught according to National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) skill levels. Players are welcome to participate in workouts whether they are on a league team or not. Morning and evening workouts schedules, for men and women, are updated seasonally.

Adult Tennis Workouts

Adult tennis workouts are $15/workout for members and $20/workout for nonmembers. Members may purchase workout packages (4 workouts within 5 weeks) for $50.

3.0 Women                 Tuesdays 9 - 10:30 am

4.0 Women                 Wednesdays 9 - 10:30 am

3.5 Women                 Thursdays 9 - 10:30 am

4.5 Women                 Thursdays 9 - 10:30 am

Cardio Tennis

Saturdays 7:30 - 8:30 am

Cardio tennis workouts are $12/workout for members and $17/workout for nonmembers.

Evening Workouts

2.5 - 3.0 Women      Mondays 7 - 8:30 pm

3.0 - 3.5 Men             Tuesdays 7 - 8:30 pm

2.5 - 3.5 Mixed          Wednesdays 7 - 8:30 pm

3.5 - 4.0 Men              Wednesdays 7 - 8:30 pm

3.5 - 4.0 Men             Thursdays 7 - 8:30 pm

Childcare is available Monday through Friday, 9 - 11 am.
